Broderick is going big. Really big. The little restaurant and bar that showed it could draw crowds away from the grid and create its own “culinary oasis” in West Sacramento, is making moves into the highly competitive Midtown space. The team is taking over operations at Capital Dime and Trick Pony. That means injecting their crew of chefs, cooks, servers and administrators. Since the public announcement on Jun 23, the team has been busy overhauling the menu at both restaurants. The Broderick team is focused on the food, changing the ingredients and preparations from top down.
The Capital Dime is getting set for a soft opening on Saturday, June 28. Guests will find more of an emphasis on small plates, and less on entrees. It’s a chance for diners to sample a little bit of everything. Meantime, pizza restaurant Trick Pony has been running at full operations, even with the changeover. Diners will notice a huge improvement in the dough and more simple and fresh toppings.
At the helm of the Broderick brand are co-owners Matt Chong and Chris Jarosz. They are GIDDY to get this chance to move into a different space to show off their creative energy. And if you’ve eaten at Broderick, you know these guys and their talented team have the golden touch when it comes to food. Buckle up and get ready to chow down, Sacramento!
